The Calapooia, South Santiam, and North Santiam Watershed Councils are local volunteers that share an interest in watershed health and partner with interested landowners in a non-regulatory setting to implement stream restoration projects. The Collaboration was established in 2005 to increase the Councils’ capacity to implement effective conservation and restoration projects within the three watersheds, improving water quality and habitat for salmon.
